The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is currently working on its maiden human spaceflight mission known as Gaganyaan. The plan is to launch two or three astronauts into orbit using an indigenously developed launch vehicle. Before the launch of the manned flight, ISRO will launch two unscrewed missions. The uncrewed missions will carry multiple biological and physical science-related microgravity experiments. The mission expenditure is estimated to be more than 1.1 billion USD, making it the most expensive project ever undertaken by ISRO.
Analog missions are an increasingly popular topic among people interested in space. They allow you to feel the role of an astronaut, and their results can help in the implementation of real missions. In 2021, the 6-person Innspace team took part in an analog space mission at the Analog Astronaut Training Center habitat in Podkarpacie. If you are interested in what such a mission looks like, we invite you to read the article.
